To troubleshoot bass distortion:
Please perform the following test on your speaker, making sure that you music device is connected to your speaker with the cable, not bluetooth.
Set all of the knobs in the control panel on the speaker to 7 and make sure that the sound on your device is also set to about 7.
Please try with a couple of different devices and use this link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaI2IlHwmgQ This song has a lot of bass, if there is no distortion then all is well with your speaker.
